On Nov 22, Xia Sheng'an, a Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area led a team to visit Kunming Free Trade Zone and held a meeting with the Management Committee of Kunming Free Trade Zone and enterprises to carry out in-depth exchanges on strengthening the coordination and linkage of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone to push forward the investment attraction and industrial development.

Xia made an inspection tour of the Airport Part of the Kunming Free Trade Zone and learned in detail about its operation, industrial development, and key companies. He also visited Dianjin International Industry and Trade Co., Ltd under Yunnan Gold & Mineral Group Co., Ltd., Kunming Tiedingda International Logistics Co., Ltd. to understand their products, operation, and market share.

Xia said that it is hoped that both sides will strengthen the cooperation and coordination for joint development, make use of the resources of both sides, and tap into the potential of advantages of both sides to boost economic vitality, enhance the aggregation capability of essential factors, and develop the potential of opening-up with joint efforts. It is also hoped two sides will build an interconnected and complementary industrial system to promote the joint development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone, will jointly plan the industrial layout, give full play to the combined strengths of policies, coordinate to carry out investment attract and develop market entities, and will leverage the strength of Kunming Changshui International Airport as a transportation hub so as to develop aviation service, cross-border e-commerce, import and export processing trade, and cold chain logistics and other industries to promote the regional industrial development jointly.

Lv Huaiyu, the Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Kunming Free Trade Zone, said that it is hoped that the two sides will adopt a joint-meeting mechanism, strengthen communication and coordination, and establish a good linkage mechanism to realize information sharing and connectivity to help improve the quality and efficiency of investment attraction and industrial development of Yunnan Dian Zhong New Area and Kunming Free Trade Zone.
